Misc -- 4.50 pitchers of natty ice at the MSL bowling alley. we bowled for a few hours, and had a blast. KFYJ MIDDLE PENINSULA RGNL WEST POINT VA Food -- Ann's Restaurant was pretty good for Breakfast. About 10 min East on 33, right on 17 with a quick u-turn gets you there. Basic eggs, pancaked and grits... but they don't take American Express. The crew car will take you back to the days when pilots were cool and crew cars were worn out. :) KHEF MANASSAS REGIONAL MANASSAS VA Food -- Hoppy's is now closed. Misc -- USMC IFS and nothing else... KMTV BLUE RIDGE MARTINSVILLE VA Misc -- Cliff jumping at Red Rocks Park (south of downtown) a 40 and a 70ft. cliff if you dare. KPHF WILLIAMSBURG INT'L NEWPORT NEWS VA Food -- buffalo wild wings FBOs -- Rick Aviation did a great job. Good service, low ramp fees, good fuel price. They gave a us a ride to lunch because the crew car was out. 2 thumbs up KRIC RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RICHMOND VA Misc -- If you have a few hours to kill, park at Aero Industries FBO and borrow their crew car (FREE for 1.5 hrs). Drive half-mile to the new Arby's Hot Bar (yes, I said Arby's) and try something HEALTHY for a change. Then drive half-mile back to airport and visit the Virginia Aviation Museum. It's a great way to burn an hour or so for only . |
