KBTR METROPOLITAN INT'L BATON ROUGE LA Misc -- ask the front desk girls at LA Air Food -- Tsunami's at the top of the Shaw center in downtown has a GREAT atmosphere. You can dine outside or in and have an awesome view of the ms river and area! Food -- Don's seafood is good and not far. Misc -- when you go here, go to executive aviation, they will take care of you. KHUM HOUMA-TERREBONNE HOUMA LA Misc -- Eat At Voodoo Bar-B-Q on MLK drive behind BWW Misc -- Looking at other airplanes who have a better mission than us. Food -- Sent to Big Al's Seafood. Pretty good, about the only sit down option. Closed on Mondays Misc -- Unfortunately, there is nothing to do here. Head to New Orleans up the road. BTW 50's dinner WILL KILL YOU. Food -- MY LAST TRIP TO HOUMA WE WENT TO NIFTEY 50^sAND THE FOOD WAS SO BAD THE TWIT THAT CAME WITH THE COLD FOOD (BAD-DOG FOOD)IF YOU DONT WANT TO END UP IN THE SH-- house eat at BK- MD just dont go there///// save the pain KIER NATCHITOCHES REGIONAL NATCHITOCHES LA Misc -- The Pioneer Pub downtown on the bricks is a good atmosphere to drink and eat in and the wait staff is good looking. If you want something else to do check and see if there are any sporting events going on at NSU about 1.5 miles from the fbo. Food -- go to mama's or papa's two restaurants next two each other both good. papa's has some nice looking waitresses to serve you....... KLFT LAFAYETTE REGIONAL LAFAYETTE LA Misc -- affirm on the snooze room, when asked about it they act like they don't know what your talking about! Misc -- they NEED a Snooze room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 FBOs -- Odyssey has no snooze room and does not appear interested in getting one. If more of us complain perhaps they will. Misc -- Millionaires new bldg is finally up but no TV/ Sat yet! Food -- Gator Cove just a couple miles away, has great cajun food. Try some of their signature aligator or boiled crawfish. In the back near the parking lot there are two tanks, that's where the aligators are bread and there is a window you can go look through. KMLU MONROE REGIONAL MONROE LA Food -- Cypress Inn Restaurant. About 5 minutes away at the most and very good sea food; great gumbo, hush puppies, and grilled shrimp. Didn't try the crawdads but they looked like a popular choice. 7805 Desiard St Monroe, LA 71203 KMSY LOUIS ARMSTRONG INT'L NEW ORLEANS LA Food -- copelands of new orleans - Try the artichoke and spinach dip served with fried bow tie pasta. Only mins from the airport with a crew car or van ride. KNEW LAKEFRONT NEW ORLEANS LA Food -- Great place for lunch was recommended by the FBO. "Deanies" Just around the corner. Local diner with great seafood. 7 dollar shrimp poboy was awesome. Also had the seafood gumbo. Very good and they take all forms of credit cards. Misc -- Always something to do on Bourbon St. Come on, it's New Orleans! |
