Open for breakfast and lunch until 2pm only. Typical small airport diner food at great prices. [all.php].95 beer!!! KDVT PHOENIX DEER VALLEY PHOENIX AZ FBOs -- Atlantic Aviation offers a jumi.10 discount on fuel for members of the Deer Valley Pilot Association. Food -- Deer Valley Airport Restaurant is the closest thing to a Greek Diner in the Phoenix area. Great gyro meat in omelets and sandwiches. FBOs -- Cutter Aviation just joined http://www.allfbo.com and I can't wait to use the service. allfbo.com is going to make my life a lot easier booking with FBO's. I wish all FBO's used their service. KFFZ FALCON FLD MESA AZ Food -- Anzio Landing, on the SW corner of the airport has great food for lunch and dinner. Aircraft parking right out front. Historic -- If you visit Tango One Aviation on a weekend, you can take a ride in a WWII-vintage B-25H Mitchell with the Warbirds Unlimited Foundation. See http://www.warbirdsunlimited.org KHII LAKE HAVASU CITY LAKE HAVASU CITY AZ FBOs -- Havasu Air Center is the best FBO at HII! They have a brand new FBO with a shade canopy that extends from the FBO as well as a state of the art movie theater made for us pilots who like TV. The also great crew car not some stupid mini van like the other guys! If you are flying to Lake Havasu…… Havasu Air Center is the place to go! KIGM KINGMAN KINGMAN AZ FBOs -- Air'Zona FBO usually has free courtesy car for pilots that can often be taken overnight. Can also get discounts at local hotels. KPHX PHOENIX SKY HARBOR INTL PHOENIX AZ Misc -- Check out the trim at the front desk at Swift and Cutter......Swift wins.....today! Hotels -- Stay at the Hampton South airport. Mon-Thur they have a managers reception. Drinks and "real" food. English pub in the parking lot. Not much too look at, but good food and lots of BEER! Oh yea the hotel gives you 2 free drinks there too! Food -- Honey Bears BBQ downtown. Although it's a ride the BBQ pork is very good with beans and slaw, and it's one of the few places open on Sunday. Food -- can't stay away from these ---- cookies at Cutter! FBOs -- Cutter Aviation's pilot lounge is awesome! 60' plasma, stadium seats with Lazboy recliners and soundproofed! http://www.cutteraviation.com/locations/phx.aspx?id=240 Sports -- Great hiking at the Phoenix Mountain Reserve just 15 min north of the airport. Change of clothes and at least athletic shoes. Enough people out there that you don't have to worry about getting lost and the trails are clearly marked. Food -- Heart Attack Grill, 6185 W Chandler Blvd. Chandler, AZ 85226 www.heartattackgrill.com - I haven't been here but I saw it on TV. Huge burgers and hot nurse "Waitresses". LOVE FIELD PRESCOT AZ Food -- I generally agree about Suzies's for food, but won't comment on coffee. Is in the main terminal with big windows facing out toward the ramp. Food -- Suzies Skyway Restaurant in the terminal has great pilot food with a great atmosphere; not to mention the coffee! KSDL SCOTTSDALE SCOTTSDALE AZ Food -- Uncle Sam's. Located about 10 minutes away on Shea and 90th St. Cheapest happy hour you will find. 4-6PM 75 cent draft beers, pitchers. Food isn't bad either. Food -- Sushi Brokers. Great sushi happy hour a couple of minutes north of the airport. Food -- Tilted Kilt. Think Hooters with the girls dressed in kilts... Food -- Salty Senorita. Best mexican food patio in the valley! Two locations: If you have time head to the one in old town Scottsdale, otherwise there is a location within 5 minutes of SDL. Great happy hour! Food -- Paradise Bakery. East of the airport, within 5 minutes of the Scottsdale Air Center. Awesome sandwiches, soups, and salads. Historic -- get the crew car and head out to Frank Lloyd Wright's place, 15 minutes ESE of airport, tours available, nice way to spend the day Food -- Four peaks brewery is right around the corner. Great beer and food, with lots of TV's for games. Culture -- Rusty Spur Saloon on Main st in Old town Scottsdale. Great little hole in the wall bar where everyone is your friend!! Gerat music, Jimmy the bartender is also in the weekend band. You wont have a bad time!! KTUS TUCSON INTL TUCSON AZ Historic -- Not far from KTUS is the Pima Air and Space Museum. Well worth the visit! Fly into Million Air TUS and they can give you the details on how to get there.
