KABE LEHIGH VALLEY INT'L ALLENTOWN PA
Food -- Had lunch at Jack's Creek, about 4 minute drive from FBO Hangar 7. Excellent Fajitas. Lunch special at $7.95. Yum. Hilton Garden Inn was fine, as usual. Also hear that Canyon Creek has the best hamburgers around. Also about 5 minute drive from the FBO.
Food -- Ate at BETHLEHEM Restaurant about 5 min from the FBO - Good food and standard service for a dinner. FBO will give you a ride there or other places (no crew car but that's ok). About $6pp, 24 hrs Breakfast, lunch, dinner. FBO mentioned that a mall is 15 min walk from FBO (they will drop though). Saw a movie theater accross from the dinner.

KAGC ALLEGHENY COUNTY PITTSBURGH PA
Food -- Primanti's, a pittsburgh institution for sandwiches, pizza, and local goodies. A chain of 20 restaurant's, about 5 miles from AGC. Worth the drive. Expect good food AND good service.
Food -- Hot Metal Diner: Never again - Sour Milk... with a side of sour attitude. Service was lacking, food was smothered in butter (even the "healthy option"). I know their niche is to have hard nose service but should be a line somewhere and they crossed it. I tried to point out that my Half and Half for my coffee was soured and smelled rancid. It shouldn't be a surprise since they leave it sitting out at room temperature. Their attitude was ridiculous. It made me wonder what other simple food handling rules they ignore. No American Express and can't leave a tip on credit card.
KAGS BUSH FIELD AUGUSTA GA
Misc -- Golf!! If your there for a couple of days. Here are some ideas, Guest villas at the River Course, great deal and nice golf. Another choice is the Houndslake country club in Aiken. They have a guesthouse, actually a small hotel right on the 27 hole course.

KALB ALBANY INTL ALBANY NY
FBOs -- Million Air, must I say more.
Food -- TAKE THE CREW CAR AND GO TO THE WOLF RD DINER.
KANE ANOKA CO-BLAINE MINNEAPOLIS MN
FBOs -- I do not recommend ANE. Only two FBO's and Crossroads Aviation (chicken coop) is small and does not offer anything but unprofessionalism and impoliteness. Some construction on the field high hopes that it is halfway decent service center. BIG THUMBS DOWN!
FBOs -- watch for tornatic activity
KAOH ALLEN COUNTY LIMA OH
Historic -- Neil Armstrong Museum 10 min. south on I75. Small, but really good.

Food -- Also had a good experience at Perfect Landing. We were parked at Signature (crew car issues :(...) but we finally got down there. Located in the Jet Center and was good food and not what what is expected for an airport restaurant. Little pricey but a lot of food.
Food -- Great breakfast at the Perfect Landing - On airport. One of the better airport restaurants in my opinion. $12
KAPF NAPLES NAPLES FL

Food -- Cooper's bbq is usually why people come to Llano but the real deal is Inman's Kitchen. Great food and great people
KASE PITKIN COUNTY ASPEN CO

Misc -- There is great animal shelter just across the street from the FBO. You can check out a dog for an hour or more and have a hiking companion on the great trails. It's fun for you and really good for the dogs to get out and socialize. The Hickory House is a good restaurant for ribs (breakfast, lunch or dinner) and fairly reasonable. Also, most restaurants have bar menus which are really good, reasonable and you can sit either at the bar itself or at one of the bar tables. There is a free bus system that will take you all around Aspen and Snowmass and even up to Aspen Highlands where you can catch the bus to the Maroon Bells Wilderness Area in the summer months.

Food -- I agree with the comment about Spondivits. They go for the atmosphere of a harbor restaurant, but (for those of us familiar with GOOD seafood) they fall way short. I find a much better meal can be had at Malone's.
Food -- Spondivits, 1219 Virginia Ave, East Point - YUCK! Food is VERY overpriced, Waitresses act like they are too good to be waitresses and don't need the money... but yet they are ghetto. Wouldn't go back if was the last place to eat - Very long wait at dinner too.
Food -- Taco Mac. Tons of beer on tap, even more in the bottle. Food is acceptable.
KAUS AUSTIN-BERGSTROM INTL AUSTIN TX
Food -- Take a crew car to I-35, go left, stay on feeder. First red light go right. Twin Peaks restaurant is on left about 100 yards down. Food is great and scenery is excellent. Its like a really classy Hooters without the cluttered restaurant and cheezy stockings on the girls legs. The ladies are much nicer at Twin Peaks!
Sports -- Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop - www.mellowjohnnys.com Bicycle Shop in downtown Austin (Lance Armstrong). They rent bikes and have mountain bike trails that will fill up the day. They also have locker and shower rental for $1 if you wanted to shower before heading to the airport.

Now its getting national attention featured in tv shows and magazines.
Historic -- Segway Tours-at the Holiday Inn near I-35 and Riverside Dr. They have different tours while riding a Segway.. very fun to do and prices start at $55. ( They do give an airline discount)

Food -- good eats in the terminal
KPNE NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA PHILADELPHIA PA
Misc -- Redirected to KPNE due to passenger request, and couldn't have been happier about it. We normally go to PHL, but PNE is our new destination. Radio'd ahead to advise of arrival, girl at desk very friendly. Arrived, line service was slow to assist but the customer service reps quickly picked up slack (even brought out a luggage cart). There are several places to eat in the area, and there is a free crew car. Pilot's lounge is updated, but there isn't a pool table and the wireless was not working 100% - however, the customer service rep let me use her desk as needed in the interim. Overall, price for gas was high but the service inside more than made up for it.
Misc -- While visiting PNE, I chose Atlantic for this trip and I have to say that I wish I would've chosen them for all previous trips as well. First, PNE is a way better alternative to PHL because you do not have to deal with any commercial traffic. As far as Atlantic vs the JetCenter - the Jet Center offers low fuel prices and low customer service to go with those prices. On our last visit we had six pax and a full lav - the line guys refused to do lavs because it was Sunday, but they were kind enough to show us the lav cart if we wanted to do it ourselves. This was the last reason I needed to convince the owners to use Atlantic over the Jet Center. Atlantic's facility is a little more open, but does not have a pool table or hot tub. They do offer complimentary sodas and have a fitness room, and there is are free crew cars and lots of things to do in the area and the girls at the counter are VERY knoweledgable.
Food -- Crew car 3 minutes to the Village Cafe. Good breakfast and lunch buffet. Folks at Atlantic said there was a good bit more close but we didn't have time
FBOs -- Atlantic Aviation has a fitness room at the FBO, so don't forget your gym bag
Food -- PNE is a great alternative to PHL. There are two FBOs on the field, Atlantic and NEPJC. While NEPJC has a nice facility and better fuel pricing, Atlantic is my first choice for several reasons. First: Atlantic bucks. Can't beat them. The service @ Atlantic outside is nice, but quickly gets better on the inside. The ladies at the counter are very friendly, and very helpful with anything you need. They are very familiar with the area, and all attractions / restaurants. The only place I wouldn't go to eat is Red Lobster, other than that there are plenty of choices for great meals.

KSEA SEATTLE-TACOMA INTL SEATTLE WA
Food -- Across the street from the airport - on Hwy. 99 (aka "International Blvd.") - is a 24-hour restaurant called 13 Coins. Probably the best restaurant by far within a 10-mile radius of the airport, and has many downtown restaurants beat as well. I've been eating there for years, and have yet to have a bad food or service experience. You can sit at a table, or the chef's line and watch them cook for you, and they have live music (usually jazz) in the evenings. I would say it's about a 10-14 minute walk from the airport...be careful crossing streets, as it's on a majoy thruway, but definitely check this out between layovers or when you get "bored". -SL

KTCC TUCUMCARI MUNI TUCUMCARI NM
Misc -- My wife & I just returned a few weeks ago from a trip across the country in our homebuilt. We stopped in TCC for fuel and an overnighter, the day before Hurricane Norbert came through. The plan was to get out of there before Norb came through, but Norb moved pretty fast. Who'da thunk that one would be grounded by a hurricane in eastern NM in Oct? When Norb left, he left the door open for a cold front that had been energized by all the moisture from Norb. The airplane and I are instrument rated & current, but I don't do thunderstorms or real low stuff. They should have paid us to stay there - we brought them over 2.5 inches of rain in the four days we were stuck. If you've ever seen the animated movie "Cars," you've seen a representation of TCC and other small towns along the old Rt. 66 highway. The makers of the movie traveled Rt. 66 and took notes. TCC and I believe Seligman, AZ served as their models, primarily. There is a geologic formation outside of TCC that served as a model for some of the scenery in the movie. There are few things to do in TCC. There are a couple of older motels along old Rt. 66 in town, that will provide transportation from the airport. We stayed at one of these (the Safari Motel), and it was quite comfortable with modern amenities in the rooms. The owner is a good guy who will provide transportation in town to the extent he's able, with his other duties. Another '50s era motel right across the street (the Blue Swallow) also shows up in the extras tacked on to the end of the CD for the "Cars" movie. There are two museums in TCC. The Dinosaur Museum, operated by the local two year college, is excellent if you're at all interested in that sort of thing. The city historical museum is closer to being a collection of antique flea market stuff, than a museum. They do have a NM ANG F-100 parked in their yard, which is interesting for us aviation people. They indicated that they're interested in getting rid of it; it's in pretty sad shape. If you have several hundred grand and several thousand hours to restore it, give them a call. We did dine at the best restaurant in town, the Pow Wow In and Lizard Lounge (I am not making this up!). If you like Tex-Mex, this is a good one. We did stay in a more modern chain motel at the east end of town for our last night, only because the Safari Motel was previously booked by a film crew for that night. The restaurant nearby was unmemorable, one way or the other. In retrospect, we're happy to have stayed in one of the older places toward the center of town. The airport has a courtesy car, but its use is limited to the briefest of visits into town, then back to the airport. No half-day or overnighters with the car. So, we were on foot for most of our stay there. There are a number of quite well done murals on various building walls throughout the old part of town, and these are worth the walk for the most part. Otherwise, do as we do when we travel by personal airplane, and bring plenty to read and a puzzle book or two. You'll need them, eventually.

TJIG ISLA GRANDE PVT OLD SAN JUAN PR

VTBD DON MUANG BANGKOK
Food -- There's a nice restaurant @ Royal Thai Air Force golf club located between runway 21L & 21R
X14 LA BELLE MUNI LA BELLE FL
Misc -- The airport has a crew car. I would recommend Flora and Ella's for lunch. They have great southern food. Try the fried green tomatos. What ever you do don't skip the home made pies. While you are out cruising, go down to the park on the river at hwy 29. The park is a cool place to watch some boats. There is a Honey store by the bridge on 29 and you can pick up some fresh orange bloom honey.
X51 GENERAL AVIATION HOMESTEAD FL
Misc -- Roberts Aviation has several crew cars, more like vans. Get directions from the Robert's on how the get some great Cuban food.
YPDN DARWIN INTL DARWIN
